Community content moderation enables Individual communities “subreddits” have the ability to enforce community-specific rules.

Moderators chosen by each subreddit community have the ability to moderate over their individual spaces. Users that violate any of these rules can be permanently banned from communities. Community moderators are often more effective at deterring harassment.

Platform Environment:

Users find that community moderation is more effective than platform moderation in certain situations. LGBTQ+ subreddits have especially effective moderators to handle harassment. Outside these communities the environment is more uncertain as subreddits can choose to enforce their own rules
